Exciting reading challenges and activities are in store for summer readers in Montfort! All ages are welcome to participate in our Summer Reading program. This year's theme is "Unearth a Story" We will start with stories about America to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday! Next we will explore fossils and dinosaurs. We will wrap up Summer Reading with your stories about local and family history in anticipation of Montfort's big birthday in 2027. Join us!

Our Library Experience pass from the Wisconsin Historical Society is now available! Library patrons may check out this pass for ten days. It allows free general admission to 12 historic sites and museums for 2 adults and children under 18 in the household! The pass also gives a 10% discount in museum stores.
Many sites will open toward the end of May. However, Circus World Museum in Baraboo is open now.
Many of the historical sites are a day trip from the Montfort area. They include:
Circus World in Baraboo, Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien, Pendarvis in Mineral Point, and Stonefield in Cassville.
The Library Experience pass is made possible by a grant from the Iowa County Library Committee. We hope you enjoy learning about Wisconsin history!

Read, Meet, Gather. We have wonderful news! Our ground floor meeting room is now available for community members and library patrons. Come and enjoy this relaxing space. It has been transformed, providing access to many of our library resources, including high speed internet. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising for this project.
