**Recap of Our First Meeting of the Year**

Last night, the Montgomery Village Garden Club held its first meeting of the year, led by our new President, Bob Gunderson, and Vice President, Paula Brooks. The evening was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves, discuss their gardens, and explore the diverse growing spaces represented—ranging from free-standing houses and townhouses to patios and container gardens. Members shared what they enjoy growing and what they hope to learn in the coming year.

We also reviewed the exciting programs planned for the year, including next month’s speaker on tree and shrub care, scheduled for October 14th.

The meeting featured refreshments and a lively plant, seed, book, and tool exchange. Members brought plants they had divided, seeds, and tools they no longer needed, creating a wonderful exchange of gardening resources.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a great start to the gardening year! 🌿🌸
