The Milky Way is bigger than most of us stop to think about, and planets like Earth turn out to be far less rare than scientists once believed.

Out There: The Quest for Extra Solar Worlds puts all of that into perspective, projected overhead in a full color digital dome every Saturday at the W.A. Gayle Planetarium.

Summer break is a good time to do something the whole family will actually remember.

W.A. Gayle Planetarium has public showings every Saturday this summer, with four show times to fit your schedule. No reservations needed, just show up, grab your tickets at the door, and get ready to look up. Doors open at 9:00 AM, and we recommend arriving about 15 minutes before your chosen show time.

Bring the kids, bring a friend, bring whoever needs a good reason to get out of the house this summer.
Tickets are $7.50 per person for ages 3 and up, available at the door.

At W.A. Gayle Planetarium, our presenters are right there in the room with you during every night sky presentation. They answer questions, walk you through what you are seeing overhead, and make the experience feel personal rather than pre-packaged. It is the kind of thing that turns a casual Saturday outing into something people actually remember and talk about on the drive home.

That is what we think science education should feel like.

Before you head home, make sure to stop by the gift shop!

Whether you’re shopping for the little one who spent the whole show pointing at the planets, or looking for something fun for the space lover in your life, there are plenty of space-themed items worth browsing. It’s a great way to take a little piece of the experience home with you.

Doors open 20 minutes before each show, giving you time to explore the planetarium and gift shop before the show begins!
