Now that the sun is up, did your home sustain any damage? We are asking residents of Montgomery County, City of Montgomery, and Town of Pike Road to self report any damages from last night's storm by visiting https://al-state.orioncentral.com/selfreporter. We will also have teams out over the next couple of days recording the damages.

It's time for the Alabama Department of Public Health's 2026 Community Health Opinion Survey.

This survey will be open until June 1, 2026, and is part of the State Health Assessment that the department utilizes to identify the health issues and challenges in Alabama communities. Knowing what our communities consider the most important issues will help us serve all communities better in the future. It is for Alabama residents 18 years of age or older and should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. Let's work together to promote, protect, and improve Alabama's health!

211 TUESDAY! “One call turned two days without food into ongoing support and stability.”

When a senior woman living alone called 211, she hadn’t eaten in two days. Without transportation to reach a food pantry or meal site, she was hungry, worried, and unsure where to turn. What she did have was the courage to ask for help—and that made all the difference.

Our team quickly connected with community partners to ensure she wouldn’t go another day without food. Through Mercy House and True Divine, hot meals and essential groceries were delivered to her home that same day. She has since been added to the pantry list and will now receive food boxes twice a month—providing consistent support, stability, and peace of mind.
