Tomorrow’s the day.

Right now people are arriving in Fayetteville, Montgomery, and around the Gorge. Picking up bibs. Eating dinner. Laying out gear. Charging watches and headlamps. Double checking fuel.

Somewhere tonight there are relay teams figuring out a final handoff schedule (something always changes). Someone pinning on their bib in a hotel room. Someone nervously checking the weather one more time before bed.

And tomorrow morning before sunrise, everyone heads into the woods.

Waterfalls. Climbs. Long miles through the Gorge. One long journey to Thurmond.

Sleep well tonight, runners & ruckers. The work is done. Tomorrow we play.
