Get ready for one of the BIGGEST events of our Summer Reading Program!

Join the Montgomery Area Public Library on Wednesday, June 17 at 2:00 PM at Montgomery Park for a FREE Dinosaur Expedition Show that will transport you back millions of years!

🌟 See an actual Albertosaurus skull!
🌟 Learn amazing dinosaur facts!
🌟 Help construct a dinosaur skeleton!
🌟 Experience hands-on prehistoric fun!

And that's not all...

⛏️ Kids will have the chance to become junior paleontologists at our dinosaur dig site and excavate a Triceratops bone!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The dig site portion of the program is limited to the FIRST 60 CHILDREN, so arrive early to secure your spot!

📚💔 Today we pause to remember beloved children's author Jane Yolen, who passed away on June 11, 2026.

Often called "America's Hans Christian Andersen," Jane Yolen touched the lives of generations of readers through her stories, poems, and picture books. From Owl Moon to the How Do Dinosaurs...? series, her books sparked imagination, curiosity, wonder, and a lifelong love of reading.

The world of children's literature is a little dimmer today, but her stories will continue to inspire readers for generations to come.

Thank you, Jane Yolen, for the magic, the adventure, and the memories. ❤️

Today at Book Buddies we read Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp and then got our hands messy with dinosaur-themed Oobleck play!

Our young readers explored, created, and discovered while squishing, stretching, and stomping their way through a prehistoric sensory adventure. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a roaring good time!
