Lincoln Elementary

Lincoln Elementary Lincoln Elementary is a PreK-5th grade campus in Montgomery ISD that opened in the Fall of 2018. Lincoln Elementary is served by Principal Kerri Ashlock.

Lincoln Elementary is a PreK through 5th grade campus in Montgomery ISD that opened in 2018. The campus is located at the former site of Montgomery Intermediate. The building and site was originally the home of Lincoln High School, an institution of learning for African-American students in Montgomery before segregation, and the renaming provides homage to its history.

πŸ“¦ Out with the old, making room for the new! 🐻

Today marks the end of an era as crews removed classroom furniture from Lincoln Elementary. Some of these desks, tables, and shelves have served MISD students for more than two decades, supporting countless lessons, projects, friendships, and memories along the way.

While it’s a little bittersweet to see our classrooms empty, we’re excited about what’s ahead! Our brand-new classroom furniture will begin arriving in just a few weeks. These updated learning spaces will provide our Bears with flexible, comfortable, and engaging environments designed to support learning for years to come.

For now, our classrooms may look a little bareβ€”but big things are on the horizon! Stay tuned as we continue preparing for an amazing new school year at LES.

Friday was a special day at Lincoln Elementary as we welcomed our Principal of the Day and Counselor of the Day! πŸŽ‰

Turner and Griffin won this special opportunity during a PTO event and had the chance to step into important leadership roles for the day.

Turner stepped into leadership alongside Mrs. Ashlock and helped with important principal duties throughout the day. From helping around campus to learning what it takes to lead a school, Turner did an amazing job! πŸ‘

Griffin spent the day with Mrs. Martin as our Counselor of the Day, learning how counselors support students, encourage kindness, and help make Lincoln a great place to be each day. πŸ’œπŸ’›

We loved seeing these student leaders shine and appreciate the way they represented our Lincoln Bears! 🐻

πŸŽ“πŸ» Our 5th Grade Clap Out on Friday was filled with smiles, cheers, hugs, and lots of memories as we celebrated our amazing Lincoln Bears one last time in the hallways they helped fill with joy and laughter.

As they head off to junior high, we are so proud of each of them and cannot wait to see the incredible things they accomplish in the future.

Once a Lincoln Bear, always a Lincoln Bear! πŸ’œπŸ’›

We loved having Amy Storer visit Lincoln this week to share her technology knowledge and creativity with our students! πŸ’»βœ¨

Amy spent time in Mrs. Shaver’s room, Mrs. Nesmith’s class, Mrs. Meador’s class, and Mrs. Treharne’s class, engaging students with exciting technology experiences and learning opportunities. Thank you, Amy, for inspiring our Bears and helping bring learning to life in such meaningful ways! πŸ»πŸ’œπŸ’›

What a special evening at Lincoln Elementary as we celebrated two incredible milestones back-to-back! πŸŽ“πŸ’œπŸ’›

Our Kindergarten Bears took their first big step as they graduated and officially became 1st graders! We loved celebrating their hard work, growth, and all the memories made this year.

Right after, we honored our amazing 5th graders during their Step Up Ceremony as they prepare to begin their junior high journey. We are so proud of the leaders, role models, and kind students they have become.

From the first day of Kindergarten to stepping up into junior high, tonight was a beautiful reminder of how much our Bears grow during their time at Lincoln. Congratulations to all of our students and families on these special accomplishments! 🐻✨

Today, our ECSE, CARES, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade students also celebrated with classroom awards and parties this morning!

Tomorrow, Pre-K, 1st grade, and ECSE 4s will have their classroom awards celebrations. Don’t forget that tomorrow is early release at 1:00 pm, and our 5th grade clap out will begin at 11:00 am as we send off our amazing Bears one last time through the Lincoln hallways. πŸ’œπŸ’›

πŸ’œ Our final Wave Club meeting was filled with celebration, reflection, and kindness. πŸ’œ

This morning, our Wave Club students enjoyed a celebration breakfast before school as we wrapped up the year together. As these 5th graders prepare for junior high, we talked about making an impact wherever they go, choosing kindness, and doing what is right even when no one is looking.

They also greeted students one last time this year, spreading smiles and encouragement just like they have all year long. We are so proud of these student leaders and can’t wait to see the difference they continue to make! 🌊🐻
