Agape of Central Alabama

Agape of Central Alabama Agape's mission is that vulnerable children will find permanency in safe, nurturing families.

If you are pregnant and want to talk about options, we want to help! Call or text 334-322-5409 or 205-834-3975 or e-mail us at [email protected] As a ministry of Jesus Christ, Agape’s mission is that vulnerable and orphaned children find permanency in safe, nurturing families. This mission has led Christians using Agape to serve more than 2,000 children through foster care, and more than 2

50 children through the permanency of a Christian adoptive family. Hundreds of pregnant women in crisis have been counseled by Agape staff to choose life for their unborn child, and to make the best choice for their future and the baby’s future. Agape is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency whose staff and board are all faithful Christians. There are staff members located in Montgomery, Birmingham and Enterprise. The majority of Agape’s funding is provided through donations from churches and individual Christians, with no client ever being turned away because of their inability to pay for a service. Agape maintains positive and supportive relationships with the Alabama Department of Human Resources and other professional agencies serving children and families. The only real limit on Agape’s ability to serve is the number of churches and individual Christians who step forward to involve themselves in the lives of the hurting children, the vulnerable young women who are pregnant, and the burdened families.

You've spent years caring for your family and supporting vulnerable children.

Your estate plan can keep doing both. When you plan from a Biblical perspective, your legacy continues the work that matters to you while blessing the people you love most.

Agape has a heart for vulnerable moms and children, and we're so thankful for everyone who partners with us.

Since we don't receive government funding for maternity or foster care services, every gift goes directly toward our staff's work with moms and children in crisis...If you'd like to support vulnerable moms and children in our community, comment GIVE.

May is always a special month at Agape.

Mother's Day gave us a chance to honor foster moms, adoptive moms, expectant moms, and first moms. This month, Steve also had the opportunity to speak at churches across Alabama, and we had our fifth annual Love Matters benefit dinner.

We're so thankful for everyone who supports vulnerable children and expectant moms.

Comment GIVE to keep supporting vulnerable moms and children heading into summer.

Congratulations to the Loehr family! They've been such a blessing to Agape of Central Alabama and to every child who's come through their home.

They've been fostering with Agape since 2015 and recently celebrated an adoption finalization.

We're so happy for the Loehrs and are thankful for the way they have served every child in their home over the years!

Katie felt called to foster for years, but fear held her back. She didn't think she could love a baby and then let that baby go.

But God got her through it. And now, she's speaking life over every child who comes into her home, praying over them and setting them up for the life they're about to live.

Your support speaks life, too. It trains foster parents and makes it possible for vulnerable children to find safe homes and expectant moms to be cared for.

Not everyone can foster, but everyone do something. Comment GIVE to become a monthly donor or FOSTER to learn about fostering.

We recently celebrated a special milestone for the Burks family!

Khiaza came into their home in 2021. Since then, she's grown, thrived, and is now almost done with Kindergarten. And recently, we celebrated the end of her time in foster care and the finalization of her adoption into the Burks family.

Our mission at Agape of Central Alabama is for vulnerable children to find permanency in safe and nurturing families, and that's exactly what happened in Khiaza's life.

Congratulations to the Burks family!

What a great evening at Our Love Matters benefit dinner in Tuscaloosa. We heard stories from foster families, adoptive parents, and maternity advocates who are living out James 1:27 every day.

Thank you to every person who attended and to everyone who gave to support vulnerable children. A big thank you to for hosting!
