The Montgomery Police Department will continue its Traffic Crash Reduction Initiative to reduce crashes and improve safety for everyone on our roads into the summer.

As a reminder, this initiative focuses on our high-traffic intersections:
- Orchard Rd. and Route 30
- Route 34 and Route 30
- Route 30 and Douglas Rd.

Data shows that most crashes occur between 2-6P on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The goal is simple: fewer crashes, fewer injuries, and safer travel for our community.

How can you help?
- Avoid distractions
- Obey posted speed limits and traffic signals
- Buckle up every trip, every time
- Follow at a safe distance
- Slow down and stay alert at busy intersections

Last week, Social Worker Lopez, Sergeant Gonzalez, and Detective Uriostegi were part of the Kendall County TRIAD picnic. This organization is a joint effort by law enforcement, seniors in the community, and senior providers to support one another with resources.

We are so honored to be part of this organization and are grateful to all who dedicate their time and talents to it. We also truly enjoyed the sweet thank-you note and cookies we received this week.

The Montgomery Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across the state this month for the Memorial Day "Click It or Ticket" campaign.

Our officers will be conducting high-visibility enforcement day and night, focusing on seat belt violations. Motorists who fail to buckle up can expect to be stopped and ticketed.
