Naifa Convention 2012 Las Vegas

Here is a brief report on the NAIFA National Coouncil and Career Conference. Four ammendments / or resolutions were voted on. Briefly, they would have raised dues by $15; given Naifa the power to raise dues as needed, without going to the National Council; given Naifa the power to appoint candidates to National Office, without candidating; given Naifa the authority to appoint board members. Thre first three out of the four of the measures were defeated. The conference was very enjoyable. the Carreer expo was very valuable. The venue of Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas of course, was excellant. I was happy to have the opportunity to attend as an alternate delagate for Naifa Gadsden. There were a total of nine members from Naifa Alabama in attendance including: Booker Joseph, Greg Turner, Greg Clark, Leslie Hyde, Rick McQuistin, Larry Kirkland, Dennis McMeans, Jake Lesourd, and Kerry Wilson, along with 3 spouses of Kerry, Dennis, and Greg Turner.

The Naifa Alabama Sales Symposium that was scheduled for February 10th, has been postponed. It will be rescheduled in June to coincide with the Naifa Alabama Annual Meeting. More details will be announced at a later date.
