We would like to introduce our supervisor of the year, Wendy Gunn. Wendy does a commendable job serving as 3rd shift supervisor. In addition to her supervisory duties, Wendy excels as a training officer and a Montgomery Police Department dispatcher. She was recently recognized for her outstanding performance during the October 2025 mass shooting in downtown. Wendy’s dispatching abilities contributed to all victims receiving the assistance they needed, as well as all MPD officers remaining safe throughout the chaotic night. Anytime Wendy is on duty, we know the center is in good hands. Thank you, Wendy for being a trusted mentor and leader. πŸš”πŸš‘πŸš’πŸš¨πŸ“ž

Our operator of the year is 1st shift operator and training officer, LaKesha Jones. Operators are the first, first responder. They are the vital link between those experiencing emergency situations and the help they need. As a 911 operator, you are the first point of contact for callers, as they are experiencing the worst days of their lives. LaKesha shows respect and compassion to every caller she encounters. Remaining calm under pressure, multitasking, being an active listener, making quick accurate decisions, all while remaining empathetic are just a few daily tasks that LaKesha excels in.
