The Montgomery County Commission was proud to be part of the exciting celebration at the newly reopened Dalraida Family YMCA! 💙💚 Commissioner Justin Castanza, District 3, joined community partners on-site as the ‘Y’ unveiled its $2.5 million renovation.

Montgomery County is proud to celebrate Commissioner Carmen Moore‑Zeigler, who received her Buddy Sharpless Education Institute (BSEI) Certificate from Auburn University during last Tuesday’s Commission Meeting 💙💚🎓

Commissioners across Alabama are required to complete extensive BSEI coursework to strengthen policymaking, deepen understanding of county responsibilities, and enhance service to residents. Commissioner Moore‑Zeigler completed her program in 2023, and we were honored to finally recognize this accomplishment 💙🤝💚

Every step she takes is rooted in service, leadership, and her commitment to the people of District 2 and of Montgomery County.

Montgomery County had an incredible night at Pack It Pike Road! 💙💚🌍

Together with our friends and neighbors, we packed 56 boxes filled with 12,096 meals! That's enough to feed 33 children a daily meal for an entire year.

We truly enjoyed serving side‑by‑side with so many wonderful volunteers. Montgomery County loves any and all opportunities to give back 💙🤝💚

Montgomery Fire/Rescue will host a solemn and meaningful 25‑Year 9/11 Anniversary Commemoration tomorrow morning 💙💚 The ceremony begins at 8:45 AM at Montgomery Fire Department Headquarters, and the community is invited to join in honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the heroic first responders who answered the call.

For this event, Madison Avenue between Coosa Street and N. Perry Street will be closed from 6:00 AM to approximately 10:30 AM 💚🚧💙 Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow posted detours during the morning commute.

The program includes the Posting of the Colors, Invocation, Guest Speakers, Tolling of the Bell, and Honor Recognition for Montgomery Fire Rescue’s fallen firefighters 💙💚
