"I thought especially families/caretakers of an autistic person (of which I am one, my sister Ann) might be interested: U.N.I.T.E.D. Performing Arts Corp, a non-profit organization, presents Breathe by award-winning Hudson Valley playwright Brian C. Petti on Friday, October 23rd at 8pm, Saturday, October 24th at 3pm and 8pm, and Sunday, October 25th at 3pm at M’Lanie Hunter Dance Studio in Chester, NY. Breathe is about an adult autistic woman who, after encountering a clown and a soothsayer at a carnival with her caretaker father, wakes up the next morning without autism. The play explores the nature of parenthood, and the push and pull of caring for a child as they grow and change beyond the control and safety of parental expectation."

We hope you're all having a wonderful summer and enjoying the last few days before school starts.

Following this year's Light It Up Blue event, we met with the wonderful staff at the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan & Rockland. Given the success that Hudson Valley Light It Up Blue has had over the past 15 years, they inspired us to think about how we can do even more.

With that encouragement, we are proud to announce that we have established the Max Moreno SUNY Orange BRIDGES Scholarship Fund.

With guidance from CFOSR, we’ve teamed up with the SUNY Orange BRIDGES Program at Orange County Community College - SUNY Orange to support students transitioning from high school into a welcoming learning environment, fostering their education and needs through a collaborative community and college partnership.

Our goal is to create a Legacy Fund, leaving an everlasting impact while assisting our neurodivergent community.

We cannot thank our supporters and sponsors enough. Without you, none of this is possible.
