π₯ TIFMAS Deployment Update β Tanker 31 & Engine 36 π₯
Our crews continue to answer the call across Texas as part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS).
π Tanker 31 was originally assigned to Abilene before being reassigned to the West Fork Fire, just west of Junction. The crew spent the past five days working alongside firefighters from fire departments across the state, providing critical water supply for fire suppression operations. The crew drafted water from several stock tanks to support firefighting efforts on the 961-acre fire.
Yesterday, Tanker 31 was reassigned to Fort Davis, Texas, in the Davis Mountains. They are now assigned to the Webster Fire, where they will continue providing a reliable water supply to crews working to suppress the fire and protect the surrounding communities.
π Engine 36 is also deployed and currently operating in Rocksprings, Texas. Working alongside several other fire departments, the crew is providing fire protection for Edwards County while local resources are committed to the ongoing wildfire response.
We are proud of our firefighters for stepping up to assist communities across Texas.
Please continue to keep all of our firefighters and the communities affected by these wildfires in your thoughts and prayers.
