The Alabama Public Health Training Network (ALPHTN) is a division of the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH). ALPHTN utilizes a variety of distance learning technologies to reach public and allied health employees throughout the state and the country. The Alabama Public Health Training Networks was formally established in 1992 in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Preven
tion and is a nationally recognized provider of public health training and education programs. Ten production and support employees apply more than 125 years of combined experience working in broadcast media to produce an average of 60 satellite conferences and live webcasts every year. They are committed to maintaining a standard of excellence by incorporating the latest video, satellite, webcast and conferencing technologies, thus making it one of the premier distance learning facilities in the country.
