Good news, licensees! It's now easier to order your credit report which is required to renew you license (excludes roofers). Just visit https://hblb.alabama.gov/ and visit the homepage. As we head into our busiest season Oct. 1 - Dec. 31, the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board is here to help you get everything squared away before time runs out during license renewal season. Here's to a smooth start to the 2027 license renewal season, officially kicking off October 1!

Credit Report Ordering TIP: As you start preparing for your upcoming license renewal, we wanted to pass along a helpful tip: ordering your credit report as early as September 15, 2026 is one LESS step to complete.

Your credit report is only good for 90 days, so timing matters. Although September 15, 2026 is not a required date, doing so gives you plenty of time to address any issues before the renewal deadline.

REMEMBER, ordering a credit report is part of the renewal process along with submitting your renewal application and completing continuing education. Do your part to handle things ahead of renewal season.
