We would like to welcome Amy Corwin to the Samaritan Team!!

Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner, with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has extensive training in adoption competency, to include attachment parenting, and educating parents on adoption-related challenges. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Troy University. Although much of her career has been working with children and adolescents who have been impacted by trauma, she has substantial experience and training in working with adults dealing with various issues related to marriage, parenting difficulties, grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, everyday life stress and difficult life transitions. She is passionate about helping others live joy-filled lives, despite difficult circumstances. She creates a warm and welcoming environment and works hard to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where healing and self-discovery can take place.

Wendy Jacobsen delivered an excellent presentation to help equip the troop leaders of the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama. She discussed conflict resolution using a model she developed called CALM (Calm, Assess, Learn, Move Forward). Thank you for your continued great work in the community.
