It is with much sadness that I inform you all that tonight was my last with the Alabama Athletic Commission. Our Commission is governed, by law, through an Administrative Services Contract, which I recently lost in our bidding process.

It has been my honor to serve as the Executive Director of the AAC over the last four (4) years and I will truly miss working with you all. Seeing how combative sports have grown in Alabama during my time as the AAC Executive Director will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Moving forward, you will need to send all of your event materials, questions, applications, etc. to the new administrative staff (contact information below). I hope this transition will be seamless and that none of you will be inconvenienced by this administrative change.

I wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing how combative sports in Alabama will continue to grow in the years to come.

A special thanks is owed to the Association of Ringside Physicians for allowing Dr. Angela Russell and Jody McCormick present the AUM Force Impact Study to the ARP membership this past weekend at their Annual Conference. It was an honor to share the stage with so many accomplished Combat Sports Medical Professionals...working together for the collective safety of the fighters.
