Oh wait…. Because there was more! Grades 3-5 Dotted into BOY Data Meetings on Tuesday. Today grades K-2 dipped into their BOY Data Meetings! Lead Detective Principal Johnson invited the teachers to investigate data pieces with the intention to uncover possibilities, as opposed to problems! We got into the lab to richly discuss quantitative data that we added qualitative value to. We realize that we only have about 152 days to make the mystery history. Every minute counts!

At Halcyon, there was no dotting around… instead making our marks is where we could be found!!!

Dots n Data combined for our BOY Data Meetings. Marks were made as teachers left with a clear vision for Halcyon’s path to proficiency and solidified plans for instructional next steps!

We are ready to make marks as we write our story of excellence! A new chapter has begun!!!

Halcyon’s Grandparents are so sweet. They came in and joined us for a treat! Nothing too big, just a grand gesture to show that we appreciate our grandparents!

Halcyon families: Please tag us with any photos that you captured! We would love to see them all, especially all of the Grandparents Day Bingo winners! 😘

Although September is officially National Attendance Awareness Month, we began our initiative Day 1. We began utilizing our attendance boards and tracking attendance in August! Classes that achieved 85% or higher, earned a character on their board each day to spell out the monthly attendance incentive, which was Dance Party!!!!!! Congratulations to the 18 classes who made it to the attendance celebration for the month of August! We are anticipating even more classes for our upcoming monthly celebrations. Parents, we need your help to get all of the classes to the celebrations. We need our students to come to school; come to school on time; remain the entire day!

We dropped the beat and lots of kids moved their feet!!!!
