MS3/MS4 STAFF RIDE!!!

On 27 February 2026, the MS3 and MS4 level Cadets visited Fort Gaines in Dauphin Island, AL for their Staff Ride.

Cadets spilt into two groups and gave battle analysis. The first group gave analyzed The Battle of Mobile Bay (1864), and the second group analyzed The battle of Fort Bowyer (1814/1815). Battle Analysis helps Cadets see battles from a bigger picture, and allows for a logistical understanding of the battlefield.

After the groups had given their analysis, cadets were free to explore the fort. They were also given demonstrations on a cannon and musket. A few Cadets were even allowed to fire both weapons!

We would also like to thank the AMAZING staff at Fort Gaines! Also, LTC Fancey awarded our fantastic tour guide with a token of appreciation; a much deserved recognition!
