⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️

There is a large-scale scam being reported by people all over the country. People are receiving unsolicited packages from a sender listed as:

“Davve Garzaz”
70 East Hawthorne Ave
Valley Stream, NY 11580

These packages may arrive empty or contain inexpensive merchandise you never ordered. We have received a report of at least one resident in unincorporated Montgomery who has received several of these packages.

📦 HOW THE SCAM WORKS:
Scammers use your name and address to create fake online reviews for products. Inside or on the package may be a QR code directing you to scan for more information.

🚫 DO NOT SCAN THE QR CODE.
Scanning the QR code may allow scammers to obtain personal information associated with your device.

✅ WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• Do not scan any QR codes
• Monitor your accounts for suspicious activity
• Report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission
• Dispose of the package

Please share this information with family and friends to help protect our community from scams

Recently, Undersheriff Bobby Richardson attended the Boulder Hill Neighborhood Watch meeting to talk with residents and answer questions. He discussed steps the Sheriff's Office is taking to reduce crime, such as the ongoing Multi-Jurisdictional Crime Suppression Initiative. This initiative is being conducted in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, including the Kendall County Criminal Intelligence Team, the Oswego Police Department, the Montgomery Police Department, and the Illinois State Police. Together, these agencies conduct targeted patrols in the Oswego Township and Boulder Hill areas, with the goal of preventing and responding to the anticipated uptick in crime as summer approaches.

Also at the meeting was Rob Delong, the Deputy Director of the Kendall County Emergency Management Agency, who spoke to residents about emergency preparedness. Emergency preparedness kits were also provided for attendees.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the meeting!

Lost dog! Last seen circle Dr west and Pickford street. The dog is parking if the owner can follow the noise of the barking. Wondered a bit more south. Non emergency was called and the police did come out but did not get the dog and they drove away.

Hard to see but it’s a medium to large breed. Longer hair dark w white trim. Long tail. Maybe a husky looking type. If anyone is looking for their pup, it’s cold out and I bet they miss you

Our meeting will be on February 19, not February 12, time and location will be the same. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Thank you
