Mobile trial lawyer Lucy Tufts named president of the Alabama Association for Justice

Mobile trial lawyer Lucy Tufts was elected president of the Alabama Association for Justice for 2026-2027 during the group’s annual convention in Destin, Florida. A partner at Cunningham Bounds, Tufts brought a record of major verdicts and complex litigation experience to the role as the organization named a new slate of officers and board members. Her term begins as ALAJ leaders emphasized access to the courts, jury trial rights and the challenges facing Alabama’s civil justice system.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting nearly 50 law clerks from across Alabama for ALAJ’s Annual Summer Law Clerk Trip in Montgomery.

Throughout the day, clerks had the opportunity to observe oral arguments, tour courthouses, and connect with legal leaders while gaining a deeper understanding of the legal profession.

Thank you to our sponsors and hosts for helping make this year’s trip a success!
