🎉Accountability + Opportunity = Success!👶💕

Today we are celebrating another one of our Stork moms for following through, completing her assigned classes, and earning her FREE car seat!🚗

Our Stork Program believes in more than simply giving resources. We believe in walking alongside moms while also holding them accountable for the steps they commit to taking.

Completing her classes shows dedication, responsibility, and a willingness to learn and grow as she prepares for her baby. And today, she gets to see the reward for her hard work! ❤️

We are proud of you, Mom! Keep putting in the work—you’re doing a great job!👏

If you would like more information on how to sign up for our Stork Program please call
256-926-5544 and ask for the program coordinator Holly Benefield.

🤝 Building Stronger Partnerships for Our Youth! 💚

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama is excited to strengthen our community impact through our partnership with In The Door!

Today, we made it official! We’re proud to partner with In The Door and work alongside Mrs. Ceandra James to create more opportunities, resources, and support for the youth and families we serve through workforce development.

At BBBSNEAL, we know we can accomplish more when community organizations come together with a shared purpose. Partnerships like this allow us to connect families with resources while ensuring young people have positive relationships and caring adults in their corner.

Mrs. James, thank you for your commitment to serving our community and for working alongside BBBSNEAL. We’re looking forward to what we can accomplish together!

When we work together, we open doors to BIGGER possibilities. 💚

🍿 More Than Just a Popcorn Machine… ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Sheree Mueller and Ohana Auto Repair for donating a brand-new popcorn machine to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama office!

But what really touched us was the message Sheree wrote on the box:

“Hānai is a Hawaiian word meaning to raise, foster, nurture, or care for someone as your own family (ʻohana).”

She went on to describe Hānai Family as a family connected through love, care, and raising one another as a community.

She said, “That sounds a whole lot like what you do at BBBSNEAL.” 💚 Mentoring is about showing up, caring, encouraging, and helping a young person (little) grow, not because you have to, but because you choose to.

Sheree and the Ohana Auto family, thank you for the popcorn machine, but even more, thank you for understanding the heart behind our mission. We can’t wait for our Bigs, Littles, families, and guests to enjoy it! 🍿

It takes Little to be Big. It takes a village. It takes an ʻohana. And sometimes… it takes a little popcorn! 😄
