EMS Week 2026 is here.

This week, we proudly celebrate the EMS professionals who answer the call day and night, providing care, comfort, and compassion when our communities need it most.

At VMSC Emergency Medical Services, EMS Week is more than just a celebration. It is a chance to connect with the communities we serve, recognize the dedication of our crews, and highlight the impact emergency medical services make every single day.

Throughout the week, you’ll see our teams out across our communities taking part in outreach events, education, appreciation initiatives, and community partnerships as we continue “Improving Outcomes, Together.”

To every EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, instructor, supervisor, support staff member, volunteer, healthcare partner, and first responder we work alongside, thank you. Your commitment, professionalism, and compassion continue to make a difference one call at a time.

We are proud to serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond during this special year as we also celebrate America’s 250th anniversary alongside the communities we call home.

Stay tuned all week long as we share highlights from EMS Week 2026.

One Day. One Call. One Life at a Time.

We are excited to invite you to our Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff: America 250 Event next Friday, May 22, at William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae.

The highlight of the evening will be a spectacular fireworks display around 8:45 PM.

While this promises to be a memorable event for our community, we understand that fireworks can be stressful for pets and our veteran community.

Here are some tips to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience:

Tips for Pet Owners:
- Create a Safe Space: Set up a comfortable area indoors where your pet feels secure. Close windows and curtains to help muffle the sound of fireworks.
- Keep Pets Indoors: Ensure your pets are inside well before the fireworks begin. This prevents them from running away due to fear.
Update Identification: Make sure your pets have up-to-date ID tags and microchips in case they get lost.
- Use White Noise: Play calming music or turn on the TV to help drown out the noise of the fireworks.
- Stay Calm: Pets can sense your anxiety. Stay calm and offer reassurance without overreacting to their stress.

Tips for Veterans:
- Plan Ahead: If you know loud noises can be triggering, plan to be in a safe and comfortable place during the fireworks.
- Noise-Canceling Headphones: Consider using noise-canceling headphones or earplugs to reduce the impact of the loud sounds.
- Support System: Inform friends or family members about your concerns so they can provide support if needed.
- Breathing Exercises: Practice deep breathing exercises to help manage anxiety.
- Safe Space: Find a quiet area away from the main event where you can still enjoy the festivities without the loud noises.

We hope these tips help ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
