Today we are giving a little appreciation to the humble roll that helps keep things moving.

Remember, toilet paper is designed to go down the toilet. Wipes, paper towels, and other products are not! Please help us protect our pipes and keep our wastewater system flowing smoothly.

Here’s to the little things that make a BIG difference!

Happy National Toilet Paper Day!

It's National Backflow Prevention Day!

Today we recognize the importance of backflow prevention in protecting our water. Backflow prevention devices help keep water flowing in the right direction and prevent contaminants from entering the public water supply.

A little prevention goes a long way in keeping our water safe for everyone!

FYI - A backflow preventer acts like a one-way gate, ensuring clean water stays clean.

National Backflow Prevention Day on August 16 honors professionals safeguarding our water supply. Learn about the technology and importance of clean, safe drinking water.

A lot has changed since this treatment tank was built in 1991!

As these photos show, the tank is now undergoing a complete exterior rehabilitation and re-insulation project to prepare it for decades of continued service.

We are especially grateful for securing over $300,000 in grant funding to support this important investment in our wastewater treatment system.

Building for the future while preserving what has served us well for more than 30 years.

Today we celebrated National Intern Day by getting out of the treatment plant and into nature!

Interns from our collaborative Water & Wastewater Internship Program spent the day at Peace Valley Nature Center, lending a hand by removing invasive plant species while learning an important lesson: protecting our waterways takes both gray infrastructure and green infrastructure working together.

The pipes, pump stations, and treatment facilities we operate every day help protect public health and water quality, while healthy forests, wetlands, and natural landscapes filter stormwater, reduce erosion, and provide critical habitat. It all works together to keep our environment healthy.

A huge thank you to the staff at Peace Valley Nature Center for sharing their knowledge and showing us how conservation and wastewater management are connected. We hope our interns left with muddy boots, new friendships, and a greater appreciation for the vital role they can play in protecting our communities and our environment.

Happy National Intern Day to this outstanding group—we're excited to see where your future takes you!
