Hello Yá’át’ééh,

I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Utah AFL-CIO in my campaign for Utah House District 69.

As a blue-collar worker, pipewelder, I understand the value of hard work, safe workplaces, and creating opportunities for working families. Like many families across rural Utah, my family has experienced both the challenges and the benefits that come with blue-collar life. We know from our lived experiences how good jobs, quality benefits, and strong worker protections can help provide stability and opportunity for families.

I also understand what it means for many rural families to travel long distances or commute to urban areas for work in order to provide for their loved ones and for opportunities.

This endorsement reflects a shared commitment to supporting workers, strengthening our communities, and ensuring that rural Utah has a strong voice.

Thank you to the Utah AFL-CIO and its affiliated unions for their confidence and support. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue building a people-powered campaign focused on service, opportunity, and the future of rural Utah.

Ahe’hee’ Thank you

Trust is built through actions, consistency, and follow-through over time.

For the past 15 years, I've served the people of San Juan County. During my time in law enforcement, I've built relationships and earned trust by being present, treating people fairly, and doing my job with integrity. I do this not only because I am running for Sheriff, but because it’s what the people of this county deserve.

Trust isn't something that can be asked for during a campaign. It has to be earned day after day, year after year. Whether responding to calls, working with Search and Rescue, helping people through difficult situations, or being involved in our communities, I've built that trust through my actions.

The people of San Juan County deserve a Sheriff they know, a Sheriff they can count on, and a Sheriff whose commitment to the community didn't begin when they decided to run for office.

My campaign isn't built on promises of what I might do. It's built on a record of what I've already done and the trust I've worked to earn throughout my career. I will continue to work every day to be worthy of that trust.

Yá’át’ééh everyone,

I’m looking forward to joining Kent Udall and Carl Ingwell on June 5th for an evening of conversation, connection, and community.

Many people from rural Utah spend time in urban areas for work, school, healthcare, and other opportunities. This gathering is a great opportunity for those who may not always be able to travel home to connect with candidates from eastern and rural Utah, meet others from their communities, and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of our state.

I believe it’s important to build relationships, increase understanding, and strengthen connections between communities across Utah. Whether we come from tribal communities, ranching families, small towns, or urban areas, we all benefit when we take the time to listen, learn, and get to know one another.

Thank you to the organizational SLC Chapter Drinking Liberally for organizing this event and creating a space for community members and candidates to come together.
