Impact Coalition improving the lives of youth and families living in Monticello, Illinois, by educating them about drug abuse prevention. The I.M.P.A.C.T.

Coalition was formed in October of 2012, to address the youth substance abuse issues in Monticello, and the surrounding areas of Piatt County. The coalition has worked hard to positively affect change within the community and now that the coalition has been awarded a Drug Free Communities Federal grant- the coalition is gearing up to implement big changes!

Hi-

We are the I.M.P.A.C.T. Coalition of Piatt County.

I.M.P.A.C.T. stands for: Improving. Motivating. Prevention Affecting Change Tomorrow.

As mentioned in our mission statement- “we strive to improve the lives of youth and their families living in Monticello, Illinois by educating them about drug and alcohol use prevention in order to affect positive changes in their lives by reducing and/or eliminating youth (ages 11-18) drug use.” We were founded in October of 2012 and are still going strong today- so strong, in fact, that in September of 2018 we were awarded a Federal Drug Free Communities Grant- a 5 year grant that will allow us to become even more active within our community and strengthen our preventative efforts. 12 different sectors of the community will come together to join efforts to affect positive change. We truly have an exciting few years ahead of us!
