They will be honored at the All-Minnesota Sports Awards banquet on June 18 at Allianz Field.

Changing the way we widow: the Widow Collaborative. This nonprofit organization promotes meaningful connections in three ways: one-on-one, in a small group or large group. https://thewidowcollaborative.com/
Carrie Mueller, a local member of this organization, will share the group’s mission at the May 11 meeting of the Monticello Friends of the Library. The event will be at 5:15 p.m. at the Monticello library. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
The Widow Collaborative (TWC) is dedicated to supporting widows as they navigate the profound loss of a spouse by providing connection, guidance, and access to trusted resources. TWC connects individuals to emotional, financial, and practical support within their communities through programs like a resource network of vetted professionals, an interactive checklist for post-loss tasks, peer connection groups, comfort care packages, and volunteer assistance. TWC helps reduce isolation, empower widows, and ensures no one has to face grief alone.

Spring 2026 Sale is in the books

Thank you for your support during our spring used book sale at the Monticello Library last week.

For those of you who promoted our event, thank you.

For the library staff, who organized the silent auction, and answered questions and were supportive of our sales effort, thank you. A banner year for our silent auction selection team!!!!

For those of you who helped set up and take down, thank you.

For those of you who worked as cashiers and support during the sale, thank you.

For those of you who purchased books and bid on the silent auction items, thank you.

For the Friends of the Monticello Library board, thank you for all the work you did to make this sale a success. All the funds we raised will support the library's programs.

For USA Thrift & Gifts, which take all the items left over, thank you for working with us to use the unsold items to help others. Thanks for working with our schedule. It is much appreciated.

As you can see, it took all of us to make the sale a success. We raised more than $3,700 to support your library.
