The rain held off (for the most part) yesterday and we were able to enjoy an overcast day full of baseball. These pics were taken, in between sprinkles, by Abeni Fuller. She has been a tremendous help with the social media and signage for our complex. Thank you, Abeni for all your help this season!

2026 All-Star Warmup Tournament

Yesterday we hosted 24 teams for our All-Star Warmup Tournament at the Sports Complex in Monticello. (4 of our own) We would like to thank all of the coaches, players and fans that made our tournament so successful.

Special thanks to Nilla’s Good Eats’s and Catering, LLC for running the concession stand, Kona Ice, the umpires, volunteer student helpers that ran the gates, trash and anything we asked of them, and our parents/grandparents that helped with bathrooms, scoreboards, pitch counts and ALL the other duties that go into running the complex when hosting so many guest.

GOOD LUCK to all the All-Star teams as they prepare for their upcoming district and state tournaments!

Last but certainly not least, CONGRATULATIONS to the following WINNERS that all went undefeated yesterday!

Thank you to everyone that has signed up for our upcoming All-Star Warmup Tournament! As of now all age groups except for 6U is full. You can still get your teams name on the waiting list and we will call if a spot becomes available. Pool game times will be posted this weekend.

This morning one of our Rec families lost their house as well as everything in it due to a house fire. Dylan Lea is an 8u coach and his son Easton plays. They have been a part of our rec program for a couple of years. Thankfully both Dylan and Magen Lea as well as the children are safe. We are going to set up a table at the fields tonight for donations. We will have a spot for monetary donations as well as clothes, shoes, and diapers. We also are going to post PayPal (Dylan’s sister Rachel) where donations can be made straight to the family. They have a long road ahead of them right now and we want them to know their Rec family is here for them. Please keep them in your prayers today and the days ahead.

Clothes sizes are-

Magen- size L for shirts and pants or size 12 pants.
Dylan- shirt size 2x, pants 36x32
Easton- shirt and short/pants size 6. Shoes size 1 youth.
Cooper- size 2t and shoe size 7. He is also in a size 7 diaper.

⚾️ Thank you to Coach Gage Daley and the Lawrence County Baseball Team for hosting the kids from Monticello Parks and Rec this past Thursday night. Parks and Rec Director, Keith Van, also had the honor of throwing out the first pitch of the game to Lane Harvey. ⚾️
