✨Starting with our "Summer Reading Kickoff" on Saturday, May 30th from 10am-12pm! Pick up your Summer Reading Challenge tracking card, explore the Traveling Science Center from the Prairie Research Institute, grab a shaved ice and get your face painted! NOTE: TRACKING CARDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BEFORE SATURDAY, MAY 30TH.
✨Join Rock Springs Nature Center from the Macon County Conservation District for, "Ready, Set, Grow!" on Monday, June 1st at 4pm. Explore the parts of a plant and learn what makes them so important. (All Ages Program) REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
✨Come face-to-face with some remarkable reptilian friends and uncover the secrets of their wild lives. Join the Champaign County Forest Preserve for, "Scaly Encounters" on Tuesday, June 2nd at 2pm! (For ages 8-12 ONLY) REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
✨APLD is excited to welcome back local ceramics artist, Meghan Conaster from Hedgerow Pottery for our first Teen program of the summer! Come and create an Animal Tile! Participants will be provided a clay slab and given instructions for creating a clay relief tile of a pet or animal of their choice. Imagery will be provided of dogs, cats, turtles, and fish for participants to choose from. Join us on Thursday, June 4th at 4pm! (For ages 13-18 ONLY) REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
✨We have plenty of programs specifically for ages 0-5 this summer! Join us for "Story Time" on Wednesdays at 9:30am, "Music & Movement" on Thursdays at 10am, and "Play Time" on Fridays from 10am-12pm!
