☀️ HEAT SAFETY ALERT ☀️

Summer temperatures are rising across Jefferson County, and extreme heat can be dangerous for everyone—especially children, older adults, and pets.

💧 Drink plenty of water
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle

Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and call 911 immediately if someone is experiencing a heat-related emergency.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.

If you have any Warm-Blooded Animals, this meeting is for YOU!! This includes Livestock, Wildlife, and Pets.

Join local experts for an informative evening about the New World Screwworm - Discussing what it means for our community and how we can all play a role in protecting our animals.
You will be informed of what to be on the lookout for and how much of a concern this pest is for our Livestock, Wildlife, and Pets!
