This past years Fruit, Cheese and Sausage Fundraiser we introduced Papa Nicholas Coffee and Hot Chocolate. We had a very successful Fundraiser and first year with the coffee. Many have asked how to purchase the coffee throughout the year. WELL, today we are officially on their coffee fundraiser website!!! Here is the link

Yesterday was a very Honoring and emotional day. The opportunity to bring together a Flightless Honor Flight for 16 Veterans from Piatt County Nursing Home, Maple Point and Tatman Village for a virtual guided tour of Washington DC. I can not say Thank You enough to each and every person, group, staff members that made this day so successful! You all were amazing!
So here goes, I hope I don't forget anyone! THANK YOU!!!! All the Faith in Action Volunteers, Piatt County Nursing Home and Staff, Maple Point and staff, Piatt County Honor Guard, Travis Atchison, Tracey Wenke, County Market Monticello, Nick Nichols, Melissa Tackett, the teachers and students and the Family & Friends for all the cards and letters and Steve and Joan from Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.

Yesterday November 25 Faith in Action of Piatt County, Piatt County Nursing Home and Maple Point hosted a Flightless Honor Flight today. 16 Veterans from our local facilities were taken on a virtual tour of Washington DC by Steve & Joan from Land of Lincoln Honor Flight from Springfield. Our veterans were welcomed just as they would have been at the airport, got to see and hear about all the memorials and the changing of the guards at Arlington as if they were actually there. They had "sack lunch" and Mail Call and a warm Welcome Home just as they would have received if on a Honor Flight. For the Welcome Home, we also had the Piatt County Honor Guard and a bagpiper.
The Flightless Honor Flight for these 16 Veterans are unable to go on an actual Honor Flight to Washington DC. So this was the most honorable way to say THANK YOU for their service.

To all those who volunteer with Faith in Action, Maple Point, Piatt County Nursing Home and the Piatt County Nursing Home Foundation. You all are so gracious with your time and we appreciate you so much. Thank you for joining us this morning for breakfast. It was great to see all of you. We also had the pleasure of meeting several from Argenta in Motion ramp crew.
