Today, MPD Major Josh Asberry and I had the honor of attending a Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon and Roundtable Discussion in Manchester, hosted by Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers and FBI Director Kash Patel.

The event brought together city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers, along with local and state prosecutors, representing a 30-county region of southeastern Kentucky. It was a meaningful opportunity to share perspectives, discuss the challenges facing our communities, and strengthen the partnerships that are essential to keeping our citizens safe.

I want to sincerely thank Congressman Rogers and Director Patel for recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women who serve in law enforcement each day. Their support and commitment to public safety in our region are deeply appreciated.

Opportunities like today’s luncheon reinforce the importance of collaboration across all levels of government. By continuing to work together, we can ensure that southeastern Kentucky remains a safe and strong place to live, work, and raise a family.
