Currently working a structure fire off Rabon rd. Also sent crews and engines to Gentry road for another structure fire.
At 2:30 Friday afternoon we responded to a structure fire on Doke Rd. Upon arrival we confirmed no one was inside the home and began extinguishing the fire. Lloyd, Monticello, and Wacissa VFD’s responded and joined the operation which continued until 6:30.
Another structure fire was reported on Gentry Road so an engine, tanker, and brush truck responded from Doke Rd and extinguished that fire.
We appreciate the team effort and cooperation among all involved. We are grateful for our professional volunteer firefighters.

Be advised, we have had multiple calls in the area for smoke. This is a result of fires that are burning in Georgia and wind is carrying the smoke into our county and city. Please do not be alarmed, but stay alert and report anything you see that is actively on fire. Thank you all and stay safe!
