Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company The Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company was chartered in 1951 and is located in Warrensville, PA. Eldred Township is located in Northcentral Pennsylvania.

The Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company is dedicated to protecting life and property by providing the community with fire safety education and fire prevention programs, and responding to all fire, medical, and related emergencies with professionally trained personnel, using teamwork and the resources provided by the community. The ETVFC serves all of Eldred Township and parts of Gamble and Uppe

r Fairfield Townships in its first due coverage area. We also serve as a mutual aid department to Cascade Township, Hepburn Township, Loyalsock Township, Montoursville, Plunketts Creek Township and many others. Our fire company provides fire suppression, rescue operations and emergency medical services among many others to our community. Our community is a rural, scenic area located in Lycoming County, approximately six miles northeast of Williamsport, PA. The ETVFC is comprised completely of volunteers that are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We would like to thank the citizens of Eldred Township and the surrounding area for their continued support of our fire company!

For 75 years, the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company has had the privilege of serving our neighbors through emergencies, celebrations, and everything in between. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our community, the dedication of generations of volunteers, and the teamwork of our mutual aid partners.

Following an already busy evening, Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched once again at 10:16 PM for another roadway emergency. This time, crews responded to the 1200 block of Wallis Run Road, where a large tree had fallen across the roadway, completely blocking traffic.

Special Unit 22 and local members responded quickly to the scene. After cutting the tree into manageable sections, members worked alongside Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) crews and their plow truck to safely remove the debris and reopen the roadway to the public.

Once again, we want to extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated members who left the comfort of their homes and families late at night to answer the call and serve the community they proudly volunteer to protect. Your commitment and selfless service do not go unnoticed.

Today, all hands were on deck at Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company as heavy, fast-moving rain moved through our coverage area, causing widespread flooding and numerous emergency calls.

Throughout the event, our volunteers responded to multiple reports of flooded roadways, downed trees, and other weather-related emergencies, working for several hours to help keep our community safe.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every one of our members who left the comfort of their homes and their families without hesitation to answer the call and serve our community. Your dedication and selflessness do not go unnoticed.

We would also like to thank the residents of Eldred Township and our surrounding communities for your patience, understanding, and continued support as our crews worked through the high volume of calls. Your cooperation allowed us to safely respond where we were needed most.

As always, if you encounter a flooded roadway, Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Never attempt to drive through floodwaters.

This afternoon, Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the 4000 block of Northway Road to conduct a land search for a missing individual.

Our members, along with assisting agencies, searched the area for more than 5½ hours before the operation was called off. Shortly afterward, the individual was located after going to a nearby residence and requesting medical assistance.

We are grateful for the teamwork and dedication of all first responders and volunteers who assisted with this lengthy search. We are also thankful the individual was ultimately found and able to receive the medical attention they needed.

Thank you to everyone who responded and worked tirelessly throughout the incident. Your commitment to serving our community is greatly appreciated.

Last night at 11:13 pm Engine 22 and Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Co. was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 4000 block of Northway Road. Fire police and additional member from Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded. The incident involved a vehicle into a tree with extensive damage including the front of the vehicle and the passenger side being torn off. Do to the reported damage and unknown injuries at the time of the dispatch Engine 20 from Montoursville Fire Department was also requested.

This morning at approximately 7:12 AM, the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to asssit Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 with a second alarm structure fire in Loyalsock Township.

Tanker 22 responded and upon arrival members were assigned to assist with interior fire operations. Members also helped performed vertical ventilation on the structure’s roof to help improve conditions for crews operating inside.

We are proud to stand alongside our mutual aid partners whenever called upon. Thank you to all responding agencies for your teamwork and professionalism, and to our members who answered the call this morning.

Monday Night Training đźš’

Tonight our crew focused on water supply and pump operations, sharpening the skills that matter when lives and property are on the line. Members practiced drafting water from a lake, setting up and filling a portable water tank, and drafting from the portable tank. We also discussed the different hose, strainers, and equipment required for each operation, along with when and why each setup is used.

Every member had the opportunity to spend time at the pump panel and rotate through the full evolution, gaining valuable hands-on experience with every step of the operation. Training like this builds confidence, improves teamwork, and ensures we’re prepared when the next call comes in.

A sincere thank you to every member who took time out of their evening to attend, learn, and put in the work. Your dedication to this department and our community does not go unnoticed.
