Congrats to our Scholarship Recipients!

Lael Bradley graduated from South Williamsport Area high School and plans to continue her education at Bucknell University to major in Cell Biology. She hopes to get her bachelor’s degree and continue to medical school to pursue a career as an anatomical pathologist. Lael has participated in many activities such as Track and Field, Theater, and Academic Decathlon. She has been a member of Green Valley 4-H club for 8 years where she has done archery as her project.

Congrats to our Scholarship Recipients!

Mackenzie Heyler was the recipient of the Lee DeMorat Scholarship.

Mackenzie is a recent graduate of the Warrior Run Area High School. Mackenzie has been a 4-H member in Lycoming, Montour, and Potter County over the years. Her clubs have been Pioneer Valley, County Council, Nothin But Dust, Dairy Judging, Famous Wabbits, Anthony Twp. Community, and Nothwinds Leadership. She has served in various leadership positions. She has attended PA Leadership Conference and has served a camp counselor. Mackenzie has been recognized by the state for her Diamond Award. She has also been on the County Council team that has won the state award 3 times. Mackenzie’s projects have included Market Rabbits, Sheep, Goats, Steers, Dairy cattle and goats, expressive arts, rocketry, babysitting, shotgun, dairy judging, and Toastmasters. Mackenzie has traveled to Oklahoma and Kentucky to exhibit cattle. In 2024, Mackenzie won the Lycoming County Supreme Showman Contest. In addition to 4-H, Mackenzie has been playing softball since 7th grade and is a member of Warrior Run FFA. In FFA, she has severed as secretary, treasurer, and currently president. During Mackenzie’s senior year she did a co-op program with Wolf Run. Mackenzie plans to attend Penn Foster to receive her Veterinary Technician license. Mackenzie is excited for what the future holds and truly grateful to everyone who has been part of her journey.

Congrats to our Scholarship Recipients!

Julia Stamm is a recent graduate of the South Williamsport High School. Throughout her high school career, she has displayed academic excellence by maintaining a 4.0 GPA while participating in South Williamsport Mini-thon, National Honor Society, Volleyball and as a class officer. Julia also works part time at a local restaurant. In addition to high school and work activities, Julia is an altar server at her church and volunteers at church dinners. She has been a member of the Bastress 4-H club for 7 years, where she was a club officer and assisted the younger kids in cooking. Her favorite 4-H project was making a quilt for her grandmother. This fall, Julia will attend Lock Haven University to study Biomedical Medicine with the goal of becoming a pharmacist. Julia is grateful for the skills she learned throughout her years in 4-H.

Congrats to our Scholarship Recipients!

Kiana Peck, is the daughter of Ryan and Jessica Peck. Kiana is a recent graduate from Hughesville Junior-Senior High School. For the past 14 years, she has played softball, starting in Little League and continuing through high school. The reason she joined 4-H is that she loves being a part of the agricultural community and working with livestock. Kiana has been a member of Back Country Roads 4-H Club for the last five years. She has served two years as secretary, and one year as vice president. Through those years, Kiana has shown Dairy Beef, Market Steers, Breeding Beef, and Market Goats. Kiana started showing Dairy Beef, then transitioning to beef market steers. In the fall, she will be attending Penn State University to major in Agricultural Science with a minor in Agronomy.

Congrats to our Scholarship Recipients!

Wesley Harvey has been a member of Green Valley 4 H for 9 years. 4 H has taught him hard work, perseverance and having a great time. Wesley has always enjoyed the Lycoming County Fair; getting to hang out with all the great people he has met during his time in 4-H. Some of his other hobbies include Fishing, Hunting, Wrestling, and Soccer. Wesley’s favorite memory in 4- H is playing dodge ball late at night for hours on end. Wesley will be attending Bloomsburg University for Early Childhood Education this Fall. Over the years he can’t thank 4-H and all the great people he has met for the wonderful memories he has made. He highly encourages anyone debating on whether to join 4-H to save yourself the time and sign up!
