This past week, Sergeant Macera completed the Supervisor Leadership Institute class put on by FBI-LEEDA. Continued training is highly important throughout law enforcement careers and members of the Capitol Police are no exception. Yesterday the VCPD conducted a Use of Force & Tactics training. This is a state mandated training that every officer must complete on an annual basis at a minimum. We are lucky to have our very own certified instructor, Ofc. Emily Grant, who helps each individual officer hone their skills.
