Students in the SW Manufacturing Principles and Design course completed guitars that they spent the year researching, designing, and building. Students created 3D CAD models, programmed cutting toolpaths for the CNC router, and did all the finishing work to complete a fully functioning, playable instrument. Students work very diligently all year. This is the third course in the Design Technology sequence that focuses on 2D and 3D CAD design and offers hands-on lab experiences in creating their different designs in each course. Their attention to detail paid off with a group of great guitars. They should be very proud of what they've accomplished. Many thanks to Body & Paint for spraying clear coat on their guitar bodies, and to for hosting a wonderful field trip earlier in May.
