This will probably be the most "fowl" post we've ever made, but here goes...

We're seeking the owner of this one-eyed bird to facilitate her return. She's been very content just clucking around downtown; visiting the various businesses, shops and such as she goes. However, while at the Dillenger Antiques she left Frank half of an omelet on the floor. Now, mind you ol' Frank wasn't mad, he just wanted her gone before she left "something else" on the floor and the feathers started to fly!

The 2026-27 Goltcart and ATV-UTV permits are available at Montpelier City Hall. Permits are valid for the period of May 1st 2026 thru April 30th, 2027. Inspection forms and inspections are available at Montpelier City Hall, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30p or the police department anytime. Inspection fees can ONLY be paid at City Hall Mon-Fri. Permit stickers are ONLY available at City Hall as well. Fees for both Goltcart and ATV-UTV's remain unchanged this year and are fixed at $15.00. The enforcement period for registration violations to being on Monday, 5/11.

What started out as another unassuming Saturday morning took an unexpected turn when Robert Dalton discovered this contraband in the city. The evidence was promptly turned over to Chief Snyder to be logged it into evidence. The investigation continues...

**UPDATE** 8:20pm

The pup has been reunited with it's family (minus the grilled cheese sandwich) special thanks to Angie Roberts and "The House of Roberts Fine Dining" for the special care and sandwich until the owners were located.
