๐Ÿ“Š April 2026 Stats Are In!

Itโ€™s been busy here at LeeComm and behind every number is someone in our community who needed help and a dispatcher ready to answer the call. ๐Ÿ’›

Hereโ€™s a look at what April brought:
๐Ÿšจ 3,550 total calls for service
๐Ÿ“ž 1,712 incoming 911 calls
๐Ÿ‘ฎ 2,572 law enforcement calls
๐Ÿ”ฅ 427 fire/rescue calls
๐Ÿš‘ 462 EMS calls
๐Ÿš“ 840 traffic stops handled

Our dispatchers work around the clock supporting our first responders and the residents of Lee County Iowa and we couldnโ€™t be more proud of the teamwork that keeps everything moving.

Thank you to all of our first responders and to our community for trusting us when it matters most.

โ˜Ž๏ธ Reminder: Call 911 for emergencies and your non-emergency number for non-urgent situations.

As National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week comes to a close, here's what our 12 dispatchers did this week:
* Answered hundreds of 911 calls
*Coordinated responses for 16 agencies across Lee County
*Talked callers through emergencies while help was on the way
*Worked nights and weekends without hesitation
They don't do this job for recognition. They do it because when someone needs help, someone has to answer.
This week, we celebrated them. Every other week, they're here doing the work - quietly, professionally, and selflessly.
Thank you to our LeeComm dispatchers. You are the heartbeat of public safety in Lee County.

- Tony & Amber

Happy National Telecommunicator Week to Jared! Just completing his 2nd year with LeeComm, Jared has shown what it means to be passionate about this role. He brings dedication and commitment to every shift. When he's not dispatching, you'll find him fishing, at the range, or chasing storms when they roll through the area (because adrenaline doesn't stop when the shift ends!). Thank you for the passion you bring to this job and for choosing to serve this community!

Sirens have been activated for a severe thunderstorm warning that includes hazards of penny sized hail and 70mph winds for most of Lee County.

Damage to trees and outbuildings are likely.

Happy National Telecommunicator Week to Ashley! Just over 2 years with LeeComm, Ashley has already shown what it means to be thorough, to bring ideas to the table, and to help both at work and in the community. When she's not dispatching, you'll find her reading, hanging out with friends, and staying proactively busy (because downtime isn't really her thing!). Thank you for the attention to detail you bring and for always being willing to contribute!
