It's getting smoky out there today! There are several wildfires in Colorado and Utah contributing to high levels of smoke pollution in the air.

As of this morning, the AQI (Air Quality Index) in Western Colorado is at an Unhealthy level: everysone should keep outdoor activities light and short, and go inside to cleaner air if you have symptoms.

To monitor air quality in your area, please visit fire.airnow.gov.

In observance of Memorial Day, the Colorado State University Extension offices in the Tri-River area will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

We honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Our office will reopen during regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.
