UPDATE (April 24 – 3:00 p.m.): We are sharing new information as work continues following the pipe failure at Northside Elementary.
The broken valve that caused the pipe failure has been repaired, and water service has been restored to the building. Cleanup and repair of the affected areas will continue through Monday to ensure the school is safe and ready for students.
As a result, Northside students will not be in school on Monday, April 27. Staff will report on Monday for a workday.

Northside Elementary will be back in session on Tuesday, April 28.

Update:
School is canceled today, April 24, for Northside Elementary. Following the overnight pipe failure on the main water line, our facilities team worked through the night and is continuing cleanup and safety inspections this morning.
At this time, water damage has been contained to affected areas, and crews are assessing what is needed to safely reopen the building. We expect to have a clearer timeline later today and will share another update this afternoon.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the school is safe for students and staff.

Important Notice:
Late this evening, a pipe failure on the main water line at Northside Elementary School was discovered, resulting in water damage. Our facilities team is on site and will be working overnight to clean up and ensure the building is safe.

As a result, Northside Elementary School will not be in session tomorrow, April 24, to allow for repairs and cleanup.

We will share updates as more information becomes available.
