Montrose Regional Library Election 2017

Montrose Regional Library Election 2017 The Montrose Regional Library Board voted unanimously to proceed with an election this November 7th to raise the library mill levy by .85 mills.

Imagine your Library. The Montrose Regional Library Board will proceed with an election this Fall to raise the library mill levy by .85 mills. The library relies on the mill levy to fund most of its operations, and the mill levy has remained unchanged since 2004. This increase translates to an increase of $6.12 per $100,000 worth of residential valuation per year. Now the work begins. The Montrose

Library Election Committee(MLEC) is looking for volunteers to help with the campaign. The MLEC will meet every Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm at the Library meeting room at the Montrose Library. There are a variety of ways you can help with campaign. You can donate money, help present to local groups, get the word out on social media, manage data, talk to your neighbors, or send a letter to the editor. Come and learn how you can help out in this wonderful effort! If you can’t attend the meeting, but would like to help, please contact us at [email protected] or find more information at www.imagineyourlibrary.org
