WOW... What a great weekend for the Watermelon Festival, special thanks to the Watermelon Festival Committee and all of the many, many volunteers for a great time. BUT, yes we know what follows... wishing all of our staff and students a great school year... as we all look back and wonder, where did summer go...

We are still here, finishing up the month... and looking forward to some special events this fall...

This week:
Mon.: Exercise Class at 9:30 a.m.
Tues.: Board Meeting at 10 a.m.
Wed.: Card Party at 1 p.m.
Thurs.: Exercise Class at 9:30 a.m.

Wishing everyone a great week, stop in grab a book, magazine, movie... come to our chair exercise group... don't know how to play cards, come on in, we will help you...

You know that Fall may begin September 22nd, but in our minds we are feeling that summer is almost over... This week we will celebrate the 81st Anniversary of the Watermelon Festival... and then, the following Monday, school starts back!! AND each and every one of us are wondering, where did summer go!! Here at the library, our summer programs have come and gone... but, we are still here ... just for you!!

This week:
Mon. & Thurs.: Chair Exercise at 9:30 a.m.
Wed.: Story Hour with Craft at 11 a.m.
Card Party at 1 p.m.

What's happening at the library this week?

Thurs., Aug. 13th: Exercise Class at 9:30 a.m.
Crafternoon at 2 p.m. (Call to sign up now!)
Sat., Aug. 15th: Crochet Circle at 10 a.m.

Wishing everyone a great week, hoping to see each and everyone of you ... remember that exercise class is chair exercise... using weights and bands.. open to all. Story & Craft Hour is a fun time for kids to get together, listen to a story and make a craft. Crafternoon is sponsored by Montrose Health Center, with Victoria from Lee County Floral leading the class... we greatly appreciate both of these sponsors (you must sign up the class). Crochet Circle is a new program, thanks to Ashely for leading and helping new folks learn... along with others that help with the basics. Stop in, check out these events, grab a book, magazine... movie, puzzle... this list goes on and on...

August is Here!!! Local festivals will be in full swing soon and schools will be welcoming our students back to classes!! And your local library will still be here, to help with computer needs, movie nights, a puzzle to work on ... and books to read!!

Handicap Doors: Yes, the handicap doors have been installed, left of the outside door is a post with a push button, once pushed, both doors will open for your entrance... Inside, on the left of the door is the button to open both doors departing... come in, check out the new system. This is all thanks to local grant.

Good Morning, Library Friends... looks like that darn heat is back!! Maybe you need a book, movie, a few magazines, or what about a puzzle to take a break with at home during this hot spell. Always remember, don't see a book you are looking for, talk to our librarian, Tirerra, she can check to see if she can borrow from another library for you. It will be hot this week, if you don't want to get out and walk, we have exercise class every Monday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Don't forget Story Hour on Wednesday, Ashely will share a book and have a craft for some fun. If you like to play cards, well, you are in luck, we play on Wednesday at 1 p.m., would you like to learn, or need a refresher, we will help you...
