The Women Helping Women Fund at The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, a division of Commonwealth Charitable Management, Inc., invites you to our annual 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓’𝒔 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, 270 Lake Avenue, Montrose, PA.

This year’s event will feature guest speaker 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐨, Brand Strategist and Coach and Founder of Inspired Studio. With more than 20 years of experience working with leaders in business and nonprofit spaces, Maria will share insights on confidence, leadership, and the power of reconnecting with your purpose.

The Women Helping Women Fund at The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, a division of Commonwealth Charitable Management, Inc., is now accepting grant applications for 2026. The Fund supports programs and projects that empower women and girls in the Endless Mountains region.

Grant Application Process The Women Helping Women Fund’s priorities for funding include:

· Education

· Promoting economic self-sufficiency

· Women’s health

· Leadership development

· Personal safety and serving women and girls in crisis situations.

The Fund is seeking established programs and projects that use innovative approaches to create positive change and demonstrate the potential to improve the well-being of women and girls in the Endless Mountains region.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations within the service area, provided the proposed project meets the Fund’s criteria.

Grant applications are due by March 2, 2026. The grants committee will review all proposals and invite selected applicants to an interview. Final grant decisions will be announced at the Mother’s Day Brunch.

Mother’s Day Brunch and Grant Awards Grant awards will be distributed at the Mother’s Day Brunch on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains. Chosen agencies will be notified in advance so they can attend the brunch to receive their awards.

Brunch Reservations Reservations for the catered brunch can be made by calling 570-278-5449. RSVP by April 10, 2026, to attend. The suggested donation for the brunch is $30 per person.

🌸 WHW Annual Mother’s Day Brunch 🌸

On May 3rd, we had a beautiful morning at the Community Foundation celebrating strength, community, and purpose!

We were honored to host 34 incredible attendees at our annual Mother’s Day Brunch, where we recognized our five amazing grant recipients and learned about the meaningful work each of their organizations is doing in our community.

This year's grant recipients were:
- Misericordia University - The Ruth Matthews Bourger Women with Children Program
- Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium (NTIEC)
- Susquehanna County Interfaith
- Wellness Arts Center - Self Care Matters Project
- Women's Resource Center (WRC)

It was an inspiring time filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, and connection. The event raised over $15,000 in support of our mission.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in lifting up women and families — together, we are making a difference! 👛

The Fund supports programs and projects that empower women and girls in the Endless Mountains region. If your organization is working to create positive change for women and girls, we want to hear from you!

Grant Priorities:

The Women Helping Women Fund of The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, a division of Commonwealth Charitable Management, Inc., is now accepting grant applications and is announcing the Mother’s Day Brunch on May 4, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains.

Women Helping Women's funding priorities are: education, promoting economic self-sufficiency, women's health, leadership development and personal safety/serving women and girls in crisis situations. We would like to thank the Founder of the Women Helping Women Fund, Judy Ventresca, for everything she has done to make this fund a success and create such a powerful impact on women and non-profit organizations that address issues specific to women in the Endless Mountains region. Without her inspiration and guidance, we would not be able to show how the Power of the Purse can shape the future for both local women and our community! The fund pools donations and volunteers to create a larger impact than any one person could make individually.

In May of 2004, Judy had a moment of clarity, some may call it an epiphany- she decided to do something extraordinary and spend an entire year “working for women,” at the end of which she had an entire year’s salary to donate. Judy wanted to contribute the money to a grassroots organization to help local women. This is when she came across The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains. Through their help, the Women Helping Women Fund was formed using Judy’s initial donation to establish a fund that will provide perpetual funding through grants to various organizations that serve the needs of local women. This fund was created to help improve the lives of local women by expanding their opportunities through education and entrepreneurship.

Judy felt that investing in women’s education is the intelligent approach as it makes simple economic sense. Education can help women increase wages, gain employment, and be open to more opportunities. Women’s education has been linked to a broad array of social and economic benefits. Women are a powerful force and, if given the opportunity, hold the key to a better future. People will soon realize the Power of the Purse!

Judy has always had a caring and philanthropic heart. She strongly recognizes the power of education and entrepreneurism. Having paid for her own education after High School, she worked 22 years as a night shift nurse in a demanding ICU unit. While working for more than forty years in healthcare, she juggled raising a family, running a successful business, and also managing rental properties, many of which provided low income housing to those in need.
