On Wednesday, August 27, the City of Montrose welcomed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to celebrate the award of $3.3 million in EPA Brownfields Cleanup funding for the Bullock Power Plant!

This investment is the result of years of planning, persistence, and partnership and will help move the historic site one step closer to a new future as a community asset.

While in Montrose, our EPA guests also toured the historic Potato Growers building and Storm King Distilling to see firsthand another great example of brownfield rehabilitation happening right here in our community. Through partnerships at the state and federal levels, the City of Montrose has earned millions in grant dollars to invest in the economic growth of the Montrose community.

We’re grateful for the partnership and excited to keep turning challenging sites into opportunities for Montrose!
