🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

We started from nothing.

Thirteen colonies with no real army, no navy, and everything to lose — facing the most powerful empire on Earth.

But we had something stronger: an unshakeable belief in liberty and the courage to fight for it.

On July 4, 1776 we declared our independence. We won it with sacrifice, grit, and blood.

250 years later that freedom is still our greatest inheritance.

Let’s cherish and defend it.

Honor the founders. Defend the Constitution. Protect this Republic.

This 4th of July, recommit to the principles that built the greatest nation in history.

Our Western Slope hearts are heavy.

As smoke hangs over our communities and fires rage across the region, we’re once again reminded of the extraordinary courage of the men and women who run toward the flames to protect the rest of us.

On June 27, three federal wildland firefighters lost their lives while battling the Snyder Fire near the Colorado-Utah border:

Emily Barker, 38, of Michigan
Nick Hutcherson, 27, of Arizona
Sydney Watson, 27, of Alabama

They were part of the Rifle Helitack crew, doing what they always do — putting everything on the line for strangers and the land we love.

To Emily, Nick, and Sydney — thank you. You gave your lives protecting our home. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten by the families who live here, the crews who fought beside you, or the communities you helped keep safe.

To your families and loved ones: We are holding you so tightly in our prayers. May you feel the depth of gratitude and honor pouring out from across Colorado.

To every firefighter still out on the line right now: We see you. We are grateful beyond words. Please stay safe.

The Western Slope stands with you. We are strong because of people like you.

Praying for containment, for healing, and for peace.

🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧: 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗗𝗨𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 𝗕𝗬 𝟳𝗣𝗠! 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.🚨

Only about 25% of us have voted so far. That’s not good enough.

We’ve spent years talking about how Colorado has drifted far from our constitutional roots — higher taxes, more government overreach, failing schools, and policies that hurt working families and small businesses.

𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗖𝗧.

This election is the battlefield. Every ballot dropped or cast in person matters. Every vote is a stand for the freedoms, values, and future we want for our kids and our communities.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom is never free. Today, we honor the brave American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

We remember our fallen warriors, pray for their loved ones and Gold Star Families, and give thanks for those who gave everything.
