Hello, Montrose!
l am thrilled to introduce myself as your new Chief of Police, taking over from Chief Todd Shields on July 1st. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Mullins and the city council for entrusting me with this important role. It is an honor to serve this vibrant community.
With 34 years of experience with the Keokuk Police Department, I have had the privilege of
serving in various capacities, including street patrolman and Sergeant, where I specialized
as the Crime Prevention Coordinator. My commitment to safety and community
engagement has always been at the forefront of my work.
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the excellent job that Chief Todd Shields has
done during his tenure. His dedication to the community has set a high standard, and I am
committed to living up to his legacy.
I encourage all residents to reach out to me. Whether you have questions, concerns, or just
want to introduce yourself, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. l'm also eager to meet you in person, so don't hesitate to stop by the police department or flag me down while I'm on patrol and say hello.
Let's work together to make Montrose an even safer and more welcoming place to live!
Looking forward to serving you,
Ivan Parrish
