Today, 39 families, along with one bed dedicated to the high school, received their community garden plots and began planting vegetables at the farm. A huge thank you to all the volunteers, led by our Environmental Commission Chairman, Bob Hanrahan, for making this possible. Also a big thank you to the Montvale council for agreeing to buy the farm and keeping it a farm.

The Montvale Fair Share Farming Center will soon be expanding with 10 additional garden beds and a pavilion. It’s an amazing way to bring the community together, help neighbors connect, and teach kids all about gardening and farming.

Also, keep an eye out for our “Day at the Farm” celebration coming this October!

They’ve worked hard planning this event, the pond is fully stocked, and there will be plenty of fish to catch. Come out, enjoy the outdoors, and make some great memories with family and friends.
