The Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry provides assistance to food insecure community members since 2010.

Venmo Many local schools and organizations conduct food drives for the pantry. In addition, the pantry receives significant financial donations, which finance occasional replenishment needs. There are numerous Kiwanis and Community volunteers involved in serving families d

A huge 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to the Montville Township Recreation Department for organizing the annual 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 to support the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry! 💚🥫

We are so grateful to the Rec Department, summer camp staff, and everyone who helped organize and coordinate the collection.

And a very special thank you to all of the 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 who generously donated food. Every item collected helps us keep our shelves stocked and provide food to families and individuals who rely on the pantry.

It is wonderful to see our youngest community members learning the importance of helping their neighbors and giving back to their community. 💚

💚 **𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗!** 💚

As the number of households utilizing the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry resources continue to grow, we are exploring the addition of a **𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟮 𝗣𝗠–𝟮 𝗣𝗠** — and the first step is making sure we have the volunteer team to support it!

We are looking for **Shift Captains and Distribution Volunteers** who may be interested in making a recurring commitment:

🥕 **Weekly** — Every Friday
🥫 **Biweekly** — Every other Friday
🍎 **Monthly** — One designated Friday each month

The new afternoon time slot would provide another opportunity for our neighbors to access the pantry while also offering a new volunteer option for those who may not be available during our current Thursday evening or Saturday morning shifts.

**No experience is necessary — we’ll provide training!** Whether you can lead a shift, greet and check in patrons, pack grocery orders, or help distribute fresh produce, there is a place for you on our team.

⚾ HOME RUN! ⚾

The Montville Baseball Team hit it out of the park collecting pasta for the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry Adopt a Shelf program! 🍝

Thanks to their generous collection, these young athletes are making a real difference in our community. But that's not all—the kids had the opportunity to visit the pantry firsthand during drop-off and see the impact of their hard work up close.

💚 What made this special:

• Learning about the vital work the food pantry does
• Understanding the importance of giving back to their community
• Discovering how volunteering truly makes a difference
• Seeing firsthand the valuable food resources available to families

We're so proud of these young players for stepping up and showing that teamwork extends beyond the baseball diamond! Their compassion and generosity will help stock our shelves and support neighbors in our community.

Tomorrow, our shelves, refrigerators, and freezers are stocked and ready to serve—and it's all because of the incredible partnerships that stand beside the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry every week. ❤️

🥒 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 from the Community Garden, made possible through funding from the Kiwanis Children's Fund Grant, is ready for families to enjoy.

🥩 𝐀 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧! Chicken, beef, sausage, and even plant-based options are available thanks to the generosity of Stop & Shop.

🥪🍎 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞𝐝! Wawa breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruits, and vegetables from Whole Foods are available thanks to our outstanding partnership with Table to Table.

👜 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲! Families visiting tomorrow can also receive a summer tote bag filled with seasonal and personal care essentials, generously donated by Girls That Give, while supplies last.

💚 It truly takes an army of volunteers, donors, businesses, schools, and community partners to make this possible. Every rescued meal, every donation, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness helps ensure that no one in our community has to face food insecurity alone.
